He said the damage caused by the irate youths were enormous and will take the local government years to recover, He however urged for calm urging the protesting youth to sheathe their sword and give peace a chance as he also seize the moment to commiserate with the council boss and others.
A message personally signed by the politician reads;
‘’I could go on to speak of sanity as compared with insanity, decency as compared with vandalism, friendship as compared with rabies.
My humble self and the entire members of my campaign team wholeheartedly appeal for restraint and call for calm and a stop to further destruction of property in the local government and Lagos state entirely.
The need for this, arises simply because the vandalized government properties does not belong to any individual but ours, as it was built by our taxes and hard-earned money, therefore, the need for vandalism should not have arisen at the first place.
I urge esteemed people of Ajegunle to keep calm by restoring peace to our hitherto serene Ajeromi Ifelodun local government and Lagos state.
I strongly believed that the government will address the issues raised in due time by doing the needful’’.
He used the opportunity also to commiserate with the Ajeromi Council boss, Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, party faithful, staffs of the local government and many others that lost properties worth millions of naira to the arsonists.
He further expressed deep sadness at the destruction of businesses belonging to the national leader of APC, the Jagaban Borgu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and pray that God will replenish all he has lost in multifold and grant him healthy life.
In a separate message, the politician commemorates with all Muslim faithful celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammed and prayed that they celebrate in peace and harmony.
