In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir , Hon Taofeek Olajide Kuye, a frontline
politician and a Muslim faithful, has urged Nigerians to use the
period of the festival to show love to one another and also imbibe the
spirit of brotherliness. He added that this country belongs to
everybody and we should work together to foster the growth of our
nation while also praying for our leaders and frontline health
practitioners battling the COVID -19 pandemic.
His words, ‘’Muslims should seize the moment to pray to God for his
mercy upon the whole world, so that the pandemic currently ravaging
the world can end. God desires to hear our prayers and he answers
them. We may not always understand the larger picture of how he works
but, he will not abandon us in this trying period.
We should also pray for our nation, our leaders, our health care
workers, our community and our families’’.
The politician who in recent times has shown the philanthropic side of
him also urged Nigerians to reach out to those in need when necessary.
Hon Olajide, only recently erected an iron gate for the people of
Anthony Agboje in Okorogbo area of Ajeromi/Ifelodun local government
area following the spate of insecurity in the area. Aside that, the
grass root politician, reached out to the victims of the recent fire
outbreak in Abule Onijomo Community of Ajeromi, where buildings
were razed down in an inferno that destroyed properties worth millions
In order to mitigate the hardship of the victims, he gave out bags of
rice and cement to support the various families involved in the
inferno. The politician who is gunning for the seat of the Ajeromi
Local government Council Chairman, come next election season, also rose to
the occasion during the peak of the lock down as he doled out some
palliatives in form of food stuffs to some residents of Ajeromi
